Krakow - city worth seeing

I`m sure that we all like travelling and seeing new places. We travel to see different cultures, different people, point of views, new food, landscape. And of course there is also knowledge - saying that trips educate has its reason. We are seeking for new experience and great place where we can feel good and rest from everyday responsibilities. Only one place can give you that: Krakow.

There are a lots if reasons to do that.
This town is almost a legend, lots of myths are connected with it. It was a place where kings and famous artists were living as many centuries ago it was a capital of Poland (and in cultural meaning it still is). The climate is average but this refers to weather. And climate is also made by people. And that one isn`t average in Krakow at all! Although time flows differently there the town almost never sleeps! There are terrific people in Krakow, always nice and polite. They also like to have fun, spend time in cafes and pubs, nice meetings on market place in Old Town - one of the biggest in the whole Europe. There are many places to visit in the market square as for example famous Wawel Castle or have a cup of coffee or a terrific dinner at Wierzynek`s Restaurant, that has its own tradition and history.
Talking about things that are worth seeing in Krakow would probably take centuries! But there are some things that you can`t miss. As for example mentioned Wawel Castle, with the Wawel Dragon, Barbican and Cathedral. You can`t also forget that Krakow is town of knowledge and well educated people. The most important educational institution there, and in whole Poland as well, is Jagiellonian University. It was founded over five hundred years ago. The most famous people who attended there are for example Copernicus and pope John Paul II. After visiting Jagiellonian University tourists are usually under the great impact of massive historic library that counts almost 5 millions of books! It makes an impression even on those who don`t speak or read in Polish.
Krakow is sometimes called `the soul of Poland, the heart of Europe` as it lies not only in the centre if Europe but is also surrounded by other special places that are worth visiting. Many visitors of Krakow usually take trip to Auschwitz (sometimes spelled incorrectly as `Auswitch`), to see historical place of mass murders and extermination of millions of people, Wieliczka, to see one of the world`s oldest operating salt mines or Kazimierz, to take part in the international Jewish Cultural Festival.
So, come to Poland and visit the most special place in Europe, with its great architecture, beautiful women (!) and unique atmosphere. Krakow will surely help you to escape from everyday life and see a different world, a fairyland.
